
Alysia Henderson MS

Alysia is a Parenting Support Specialist with Restore Hope, a private LLC dedicated to supporting survivors of trauma through compassionate, trauma-informed care. In this role, she provides individualized 1:1 coaching to parents seeking to strengthen connection with their children, build practical parenting skills, and create emotionally safe, values-aligned home environments.
Alysia earned a Master’s degree in the Anthropology of Childhood, Youth, and Education from Brunel University in West London. She previously studied Psychology with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis at California State University, Sacramento. During her graduate work in the UK, she completed dissertation research in a hostel serving vulnerable youth, deepening her understanding of trauma, displacement, and developmental needs in high-risk environments.
She brings extensive experience supporting neurodiverse children, youth, and families across a variety of settings, including foster care systems, group homes, and specialized behavioral programs. Her background includes supervising behavioral therapy for children and adolescents with developmental disabilities and significant behavioral challenges, with a strong focus on individualized, strengths-based support.
Alysia has also held leadership roles in education, including serving as Chief Education Officer at GOALS, where she supported program development, mentored staff, and guided educational practices for neurodiverse learners with complex behavioral and emotional needs. Her work has consistently centered on creating structured, supportive, and developmentally responsive environments that promote growth and stability.
In her work with families, Alysia integrates trauma-informed, attachment-based, and behaviorally informed approaches to help parents better understand their children’s needs, strengthen communication, and develop sustainable, values-driven parenting strategies. She is especially passionate about supporting families of neurodiverse children and helping caregivers build confidence, consistency, and connection in their parenting approach.
