Parenting Support Specialist Services
Our Parenting Support Specialist provides individualized, trauma-informed 1:1 coaching to parents seeking support in strengthening their relationship with their children and building effective, values-aligned parenting strategies. This role is grounded in Restore Hope’s commitment to supporting survivors of trauma and creating emotionally safe, connection-centered family systems.
Through a collaborative and strengths-based approach, the Parenting Support Specialist helps parents better understand their child’s emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs—particularly within the context of trauma and neurodiversity. Support includes identifying practical strategies that work for each unique family, building skills in communication and emotional regulation, and developing consistent approaches to behavior and connection.
Parents are guided in setting meaningful goals, recognizing progress, and making sustainable changes that align with their values and lived experiences. The focus is always on empowerment, not judgment—meeting families where they are and walking alongside them as they build greater confidence, clarity, and connection in their parenting journey.
This role works under the clinical and organizational guidance of Denise Henderson as part of the Restore Hope team.
